2. PARAGRAPH #1--The purpose of this paper is...This is important to do because...In this paper I will...tell me what you are going to do!

3. PARAGRAPH #2--Define your terms and explain what the problem or topic you are covering--this is where you start doing what you told me you were going to do in PARAGRAPH #1.

4. PARAGRAPH #3--Lay out your argument: 

 P1--All M is P.                                              P3--IF P-->Q 

P2--ALL S is M.           OR                           P4--P (or ~Q) 

C--So, All S is P                                            C--So, Q (or ~P) 

 

5. PARAGRAPH #4--Explain why P1 is true. Explain why P2 is true. REMEMBER--you may give another argument for each premises--as support for it--and for hypothetical claims like P3--be sure to give two more hypothetical claims--like this: 

 P5--If M-->Q 

P6--If P-->M 

C--So, If P-->Q 

 Assess the argument's validity--and say what kind of argument it is.  

6. PARAGRAPH #5--Counter-examples/Objections--or what might someone say against your argument or any of its premises.
